Woman Who Posted R. Kelly's $100,000 Bail Says "He's Not a Monster"
Valencia Love was revealed as the friend who paid $100,000 for R. Kelly's bail, and she spoke out in defense of the embattled singer.
The 47-year-old business woman told Fox32 News' Tia Ewing, "I'm not going to say it was my money or [Kelly's] and he's not broke. He's my friend and I knew he needed help." She added, "He was going to get out regardless. I just went out there to help my friend."
When it comes to people judging Kelly amid allegations that he engaged in sexual activity with underage girls, Love defended him and said that he's not a monster.
"I wasn't there, you wasn't there. Give him the chance and allow him to prove his innocence. He's not a monster, he's not [...] He's only been a gentleman to me. Let him have his chance in court to prove if he's innocent or guilty. As a friend if he says he's innocent, I can only believe that he is innocent."
