Chucky' Brown to leave prison when he is 93 years old
Murder-convict police constable Collis 'Chucky' Brown has been sentenced to life in prison and ordered to serve a total of 51 years before becoming eligible for parole.
The ruling means that Brown, who is now 42 years old, may not be released from prison until he is 93 years old.
Sentencing was handed down Friday afternoon in the Home Circuit Court by Justice Vivene Harris.
Brown was found guilty of three counts of murder on November 15, 2018. He was also convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and wounding with intent.
Evidence was led in court that Brown shot and killed of Damoy ‘Gutty’ Dawkins along the Palmer’s Cross main road in Clarendon on January 10, 2009.
Brown also fatally shot Dwayne Douglas and Andrew Fearon along the Swansea main road on December 13, 2012, in the same parish.
For the murder of Damoy ‘Gutty’ Dawkins – life imprisonment. Must serve 20 years before parole.
For conspiracy to commit murder – 8 years in prison.
For wounding with intent – 15 years in prison.
